What is your favourite way of investing in staff?

Link to article. Unfortunately, Capital Ideas only took a few sentences from my response so here are some deeper thoughts:

You need to lay a solid foundation and have a solid framework before putting up the siding and building up the inside. With a strong base (trust), I believe that creating meaningful opportunities for your team provides the most benefit. There will always be a strong personal element when determining what these meaningful opportunities are. But it shouldn't be that hard when you have an open and trusted relationship with your team. Your team members shouldn't be intimidated or afraid of speaking their minds and being truthful to you. It's not always about you and your business but rather the passions and visions of your team members. It's a lot more powerful when you figure out how to make it work for everyone than trying to figure it out for one party.

My First Podcast!

http://kevinlangman.com/episode024/

I'd like to thank my good friend Kevin Langman for giving me the opportunity to participate in his podcast! It was a great learning experience for me and it was a lot of fun! I definitely want to do this again in the future!

I was nervous at the beginning because I was asked to speak on personal branding, a topic that I'm not an expert in. Kevin and I talked about it a bit and the angle that we took was to share our experiences and observations on the topic. So talking about "stepping out of your comfort zone", this is a perfect example of that. I think if you're new at building a personal brand (like I am), my perspective might knock off a few days or weeks of work trying to see the bigger picture. Anyways, enjoy the podcast and leave a comment below. Thanks!

First Post

This is the start of a new journey, a new experiment, a new experience. Just like anything that is new, I'm feeling very happy and excited about all of this. I've failed at many things in life and I've succeeded at many things in life. The thing I have learned through my failures and successes is that it doesn't matter where you end up. It's all part of the life experience and we should embrace what we have and who we are as individuals and try to make the best of every situation. BE GREAT is a platform for me to share my perspective that I have gained through my own experiences, and in doing so, I hope that it inspires you.
